A Thanksgiving Note
Most people just give in to the holidays (Thanksgiving through New Years) as a time for slipping backwards rather than pushing ahead. Unhealthy food and behaviors are all around us. I hope you find the will to manage these situations and hang onto the health that you've built with us. But there are a couple of behaviors that typically occur over the holidays that are more healthy, not less. Specifically, more sleep and less stress. Use this time off of work to maximize your sleep and take your mind off of the daily pressures. Then, notice how much better you feel.
Wouldn't you like to feel like that all of the time? Sleep and stress are just as important as diet in feeling energized. And combined they are more important than your exercise. Hope that gives you some new perspective.
Have a great Thanksgiving. See you at the gym Saturday.
